Mission Statement

EDUCATION * PREVENTION * PROTECTION

The above words are the key to the services that we provide for our community.
We will dedicate our efforts to EDUCATE our citizens in ways to PREVENT
loss of life or property in threatening situations. We will be there when
such situations arise; we will work tirelessly to achieve the
maximum level of PROTECTION due to our community.

The Firefighters in Ozark have a long tradition of commitment to their fellow citizens. The values and traditions of the fire department in this community have, for generations, instilled confidence and trust in those we serve and protect. Currently our fire department is facing great challenges; these challenges are brought about by the inevitable effects of change. Christian County is the fastest growing county in Missouri. Coping with these changes is our number one priority; we pledge to continue to provide excellent service and protection as we improve and progress. At this time, the District has 12 full-time firefighters and approximately 25 reserves to cover a 110 square mile area. Recently, the voters passed an increase for the district's tax levy. With this, we will be able to hire additional full-time personnel and open a second station to be staffed 24 hours a day.
